My neighbor offered to let me come and pick tomatoes. It was fun and I made a great sauce out of them:
-about two dozen medium-sized fresh tomatoes washed and diced
-2 Cups of frozen shredded zuchini (thawed and drained)
-1 small acorn squash (cut in half, steamed in microwave and then scooped out of shell)
1/2 tsp each of garlic powder, basil, oregano, and sage
-1 small can of tomato paste (optional--will help the sauce thicken)
Add all obove ingredients to a large crock pot and cook on high for four hours. Can add in parmesan cheese or browned ground beef.
